Many days we complain about too much noise. Too many demands, notifications, people wanting something, our energy being constantly pulled.
But some days it seems the whole world has gone dark. No texts, no calls, and you are sitting wondering if you exist. Like in Coco where true death is no longer being remembered.
We want the quiet yet when we have it it can feel like an abyss. We are so conditioned to technology we think we need constant connection and attention. We have lost the beauty of listening to the birds chirp or the breeze rattling the leaves.
When did it get hard to be alone? We are full of noise but devoid of true connection.
My prayer and intention is to reconnect with my soul, with all the beauty of the moment. We don’t exist in other people’s thoughts. That’s their reality. We exist here, in these bodies, in our hand that pets our dog and does the dishes. We exist in what’s present.
The rest is make believe. We can pretend and project but we can’t fake the breath.
So let’s breathe. Alone and quiet is illusion. You just aren’t listening close enough or looking around at all that is with you. So pause. Breathe in, feel how it fills you, now give it back. Share yourself with your surroundings this way.
You aren’t alone. You are always dancing with the entire universe.
One breath at a time.
