We wear the masks to avoid the pain
We wear the mask because we think we’re plain
We hide ourselves behind our lies
No recognizing our disguise
We wear a mask for someone old
We wear the masks the way we’re told
We seek to fit the collective puzzle
Strapping tight the self made muzzle
We wear a mask for someone new
We want to manipulate their view
Not even aware of our own skin
Underneath we should fit in
We spend our time perfecting masks
Instead of doing the real tasks
While hoping to find the one who’ll see
The real you, that was mean to be.
